Join Vice Dean Peggy Bishop Lane and Professor Chris Geczy for an Information Reception and learn what it takes to earn the top-ranked Wharton MBA while continuing to live and work in Miami. They will be joined by local students and alumni who will share their perspectives on why it’s worth the commute to Philadelphia.
Professor Geczy will discuss his research on Impact Investing and related topics, asking whether investors seeking both good and gold can achieve what historically have thought to be at odds. Can investors with a social purpose achieve competitive market returns? Do we witness the existence of so-called “greenwashing?” Can investors build diversified socially responsible portfolios and if so, how? Do laws and the courts support the dual purpose of social good and profit maximization? Professor Geczy will provide new views into these intriguing questions.
Vice Dean, Peggy Bishop Lane, will provide a brief overview of what makes the Wharton MBA Program for Executives unique and insight into the admissions process. There will also be time to network while enjoying light refreshments.
