The executive MBA program’s fall 2007 information reception schedule includes a new destination – Charlotte, NC. The Executive MBA admissions team feels that Charlotte has become such an important U.S. financial center and that North Carolina as a whole has such a strong scientific and entrepreneurial community, the market for potential students is very strong. Wharton EMBA alumni who live in the area will be attending the event to share their experiences and explain why making the commute to Philadelphia to complete their MBA while progressing in their jobs is a worthwhile pursuit.
Also confirmed are two diversity events to be held in San Francisco in November. On Nov. 1st Wharton West will host an event focused on further enhancing the diversity of the Wharton School’s San Francisco campus. This special reception is part of a continuing effort to encourage candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups, with a specific emphasis on gender, racial/ethnic and professional diversity, to learn more about the growing West Coast Wharton community.
And then on Nov. 5th Wharton will be "Celebrating Women in Marketing" at an event featuring Shelley Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream. Ms. Archambeau is the co-author of "Marketing That Works: How Entrepreneurial Marketing Can Add Sustainable Value to Any Sized Company." This reception continues Wharton’s ongoing efforts to embrace career and mentoring opportunities for women.
