EMBA Class Visits Asia

Wharton EMBA students from both the east and west programs traveled to Asia in September for their International Seminar trip, which is the culmination of a semester-long examination into how business firms develop and implement strategy in a competitive global context . The Philadelphia class visited Bangkok, and the San Francisco class went to Shanghai.

The east coast class spent an exotic week in Bangkok, Thailand. Students attended presentations with representatives from Toyota Motors, Thailand, Citigroup, Bank of Thailand, Asia Plus Securities, Pathways Software, Johnson & Johnson, Mead Johnson, Shin Group, GE Financial, Abbott Labs and Siam Cement. All students were also fortunate to participate in an English pronunciation course from American English University.
