Dawn Graham, Director of Career Management, Philadelphia
Dawn brings over 17 years progressive experience in recruiting, coaching, career management, leadership assessment, training, and business transformation. Most recently, she was running her own coaching business, following her passion around career management and helping individuals to optimize their career potential. Prior to this, Dawn had a successful career at Personnel Decisions International (a Korn Ferry company), where she moved from providing executive consulting and coaching services to building and implementing the firm’s global talent resource allocation infrastructure.
In addition to her experience in career search and coaching, Dawn brings an expertise in psychology and organizational development. A licensed psychologist, she holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver, a master’s degree in Organizational Development from the Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University.
In addition to her interest in career management, Dawn loves to travel and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
Steve Hernandez, Director of Career Management , San Francisco
Steve brings more than 15 years of professional career development experience, and leads the career services for students in San Francisco. Prior to Wharton, he was an adjunct career advisor for the UC Berkeley Haas/Columbia and Executive MBA programs. As a former partner and executive recruiter for a local search firm, Steve has helped Bay Area companies identify, screen, and hire professionals ranging from staff to senior management in a variety of industries, including banking, software, technology manufacturing, financial services, retail, consumer goods, biotechnology, and nonprofit.
In partnering with C-level executives, senior and middle managers, as well as human resources, he gained in-depth knowledge of the skills, communication, leadership, and behavioral traits that lead to success within organizations. Steve also manages a private Career Services Practice. Steve holds a master’s degree in Career Development.
Mary Gross, Consultant, Career Management
Mary was the founding director of Wharton MBA for Executives Career Management in 2008. In that role, she created and delivered a distinctive set of career management services for Executive MBA students. Currently, she is serving as a consultant as she pursues her doctoral degree.
Prior to Wharton, Mary spent 25 years in the financial services industry working in the areas of human resources and finance. Her HR experience includes consulting to business leaders on strategy, team effectiveness and individual development; designing and delivering leadership development programs and developing talent management processes such as performance management, succession management, and career development. Her financial roles included responsibility for internal audit, accounting operations, accounting policy, mergers & acquisitions, and SEC & management reporting.
Mary has worked for organizations of various sizes including serving as an original organizer and officer of a new national bank in Colorado, as controller for a regional bank in Maryland, and in senior accounting operations & financial reporting roles with a regional institution in the NJ/PA/NY region. Additionally, Mary also serves on the Board of Directors of Unity Bancorp in Clinton, New Jersey.
Mary, a graduate of the Wharton MBA Program for Executives (with Honors), has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and a PsyM in Organizational Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
