EMBA Application Deadlines & Timeline
The Wharton MBA for Executives program has two application rounds per year with two key dates for each round: Application Deadline and Decision Dates. Read below for information on application requirements and assistance.
Class Entering in 2021
|Application Deadline||Decision Release Date|
|Round 1||December 2, 2020 (11:59 p.m. PST)*||Wednesday, January 20, 2021|
|Round 2||February 10, 2021 (11:59 p.m. PST)*||Wednesday, March 24, 2021|
* Your application must be complete by the deadline in order for a decision to be released on time.
The Wharton MBA Program for Executives seeks a diverse and well-rounded class. As such, we do not release decisions on a rolling basis; rather, we evaluate each round of applicants as a whole. Please see application timelines and deadlines summarized above.
We encourage you to read our website to learn more about the program and to sign-up for an upcoming event. Perusing WEMBA stories is another great way to discover how the program has impacted our students and alumni. If you have done your homework and have specific questions about your candidacy, you may schedule a phone chat with a member of our admissions team.
Submitting Your Application
You may begin your online application at any time during the admissions process, and you can continue to edit and add to your information before you submit the completed application. You have until midnight PT on the day of the deadline to complete your online application.
Any materials you submit in hard copy (e.g. official transcripts and letter of sponsorship) must arrive in our office by 5 p.m. on the day of the deadline.
You can request a deadline extension if you have a compelling reason for needing one by contacting the office to which you’re applying.
If you have questions about the application, interview process, test prep strategy, or the program itself, we invite you to schedule a phone chat with our Admissions Team.
To prepare for your chat, we ask that you familiarize yourself with our website and come prepared with questions to make the most of the session.
A phone chat does not take the place of the admissions interview, which is required of all candidates. We look forward to talking with you! Click here to schedule a phone chat.
You can schedule an interview once you have started your application. Do not wait until you submit your complete application to schedule your required admissions interview. The interview is a chance for us to ask specific questions about your candidacy and for you to provide a more personal explanation about your professional background and interests.
Until the University gives us clearance to have visitors on campus, interviews will be conducted virtually. We will start taking appointments for the 2021 admissions cycle in August. Slots fill up quickly, so schedule your interview as soon as your start your application.
Admissions decisions are announced online; you can view the decision by logging into your online application account after 5:00 p.m. ET (Philadelphia applicants) and 5:00 p.m. PT (San Francisco applicants) on the decision release date.
