Schedule an Interview

All applicants should interview early in the application process. This is a chance for you to give a fuller, more personal explanation of your professional background and interests — and an opportunity to have specific questions answered. Your interview can be an important part of your research into the program and help you in preparing your application materials.

Interviews are conducted in Wharton’s Philadelphia and San Francisco program offices by a member of the Admissions Committee. They are conducted from August through February, but we encourage you to call us to make an appointment as early as possible.

A note about interview timing: Don’t wait! You do not need to submit your application before scheduling an interview.

Combine Your Interview and Visit

Many candidates find it convenient to schedule their interview along with a campus visit, which includes sitting in on a class session and joining current students at lunch.

The admission interview is comparable to a job interview, so we recommend you review the program website and application requirements beforehand.

Scheduling Your Interview

Due to high demand, we cannot always accommodate interview requests, so please call well in advance of application deadlines.

Classes are held almost every Friday and Saturday throughout the calendar year in both Philadelphia and San Francisco, so these are the best times to combine an interview and visit. But other arrangements can be made, if necessary. The staff member who schedules your visit can advise you of dates that will provide you with the best opportunities to sit in on classes and talk with students.
