Wharton EMBA students are high-impact professionals from a diversity of industries, earn their MBA while continuing to work, have an average of 13 years work experience, and are often sponsored by their employers.

Work Experience
The executive MBA program is designed for fully employed, seasoned working professionals from a wide variety of industries with at least eight (8) years of full-time work experience. If you have less than eight (8) years of full time work experience, you can apply as a Fellows candidate. Executive MBA students are required to maintain full-time employment throughout the duration of the program.

Wharton’s MBA for Executives program requires one test score from the GMAT, GRE or Executive Assessment (EA). We do not waive the test requirement, but do allow students to choose which test they prefer. For the Wharton EMBA class of 2026, the average GMAT score is 716. The average EA score is 156.
